    Allan is a recently-retired Uniting Church minister living in Launceston (Tas). Allan joined the Board in late 2008.

Allan was ordained in 1968 and has ministered in rural and city congregations in Victoria, plus two years in the UK, and was a Presbytery Minister in Melbourne for five years. When the Synods of Tasmania and Victoria amalgamated in 2002 Allan was called to be the Associate General Secretary of the new synod and to head up the Tasmanian office of the UCA.

Allan is a member of the Tasmanian Heritage Council and the Board of Scotch Oakburn College, Launceston.

Allan is married to Imas and has three adult children.
