Auburn Centre - Program Information 
 

 Programs and Groups

Auburn Social Day Programs

Day(s): Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
Times: 
9.30am – 2.45pm

Activities include: Exercises, art and craft, discussion groups, armchair travel, quizzes and concerts.

Meal: Lunch provided

Cost: $12.00

Note: Times and cost are negotiable. Transport to and from Auburn Centre can be arranged for clients.

 

Auburn Woodwork

Day(s): Mondays, Wednesday
Times:
 10.30am - 12.30am

Activities include: Woodwork incorporating individual projects.

Meals: Morning tea is provided.  Lunch optional.

Cost: No cost to attend but clients buy their own materials.  $6 for lunch

This program is run in partnership with the Boroondara Stroke Support Group.

  

Auburn Exercise Groups

Day(s): Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
Times:
10am – 12pm (lunch at 12pm)

Activities include: Chair based exercises each day, bowls at local bowls club every Wednesday.

Cost: $3.00 for sessions, $8.00 with lunch

 

A Day Out – Ladies Group
(located in Camberwell)

Day(s): Monday
Times: 9am – 2pm

Activities include: Ladies group meet to exercise, chat and make useful craft products.

Meals: Lunch is included.

Cost: $10.00

Note: Transport is provided for clients.

 

A Day Out
(located in Camberwell)

Day(s): Thursday
Times: 9am – 4:30pm

Activities include: Outings to a variety of destinations including the cinema, art galleries, museums, beaches and mountains.

Meals: Lunch is included.

Cost: $15.00

 

Auburn Art Class
(in partnership with the Boroondara Stroke Support Group)

Day(s): Fortnightly on Friday
Times: 12.30pm - 2.30pm

Activities include: Acrylic painting class.

Meals: Afternoon tea is provided.

Cost: No cost to attend but clients buy their own materials.

 

Auburn Singing Group
(in partnership with the Boroondara Stroke Support Group)

Day(s): Fortnightly on Friday
Times: 12.30pm - 2.30pm

Activities include: People meeting over a love of singing.

Meals: Afternoon Tea provided for clients.

Cost: No cost to attend.

 

Auburn Gardening

Day(s): Wednesdays

Times: 10.30am - 12.30pm

Activities include: planning and planting areas of centre garden.

Meals: Afternoon Tea provided for clients.

Cost: $4

 

Auburn Yoga and Meditation
(in partnership with the Boroondara Stroke Support Group)

Day(s): Tuesdays during school semesters

imes: 2pm – 3pm

Activities include: Chair based Yoga and Meditation.  Caters to all abilities.

Meals: Morning Tea provided for clients.

Cost: $4

 

Auburn Outings

We offer clients with high needs an opportunity to participate in outings with one-on-one supervision with our care staff. These outings may be arranged with our staff on other available days.

Day(s): Tuesday
Times: 9am – 3pm

Activities include: Bus trips and more intimate car trips available depending on need. Outings to a variety of destinations including the cinema, art galleries, museums, beaches and mountains.

Meals: Lunch included.

Cost: $15.00

 

PADSIP
(Positive Aging Digital Storytelling Intergenerational Project)

Day(s): Fortnightly Friday

Times: 1pm – 3pm

Activities include: Digital Storytelling created in partnership with year 9 students from Hawthorn High School.

Meals: Afternoon tea is provided.

Cost: No cost

 

Carer’s Support Group

Day(s): Wednesday

Time: 10am – 12pm

Activities include: Discussion and socialisation with other carers.

Cost: $6.00

Note: Respite care at the Auburn Centre can be provided during these times by prior arrangement.

 

Carer’s Outing

Day(s): Second Wednesday of the month

Time: 10am – 2pm

Meal: Lunch is provided

Cost: $15

Note: Respite care at the Auburn Centre can be provided during these times by prior arrangement.
