Girrawheen - Further Information

Lifestyle Program
A comprehensive range of social and recreational activities and programs are offered to our residents.

Our Lifestyle Team delivers activities that meet our residents physical, cognitive, and social needs. These activities include: cooking, gardening, creative arts, current affairs, quizzes, exercise classes, reminiscence groups, social activities, as well as regular outings and weekly bus trips.

All residents are encouraged to participate in the lifestyle programs to promote optimal wellness and maintain socialisation skills.

We also offer a dementia specific program known as the ‘Sunshine Club’ to residents who experience increased anxiety in the early evening. A calming and peaceful ambience is provided by our lifestyle staff member for residents who participate in this program during this time each day.

Physiotherapy, podiatry, speech pathology, hairdressing, dental and dietitian services are available for our residents. A qualified massage therapist visits on a weekly basis.
