Nursing Home

Strathdon’s Nursing Home is a modern 60 bed, high care, residential complex. It consists of single and shared rooms with ensuite facilities which are fully serviced.
The aim of the Nursing Home is to provide high quality nursing care in a warm, caring environment - to provide a home to our residents to meet their social needs.
Podiatry and paramedical services are available to residents, as well as access to the Day Therapy Centre services. A hairdresser is available on site.
The Lifestyle Department’s aim is provide daily activities that enhance residents’ well being. A chaplain is also available for spiritual care.
Family involvement in the care and socialisation of residents is always encouraged and welcomed.
Hostels
This accommodation is single occupancy and is provided through our two hostel facilities - Richard E. McGarvie and The Jack Faichney Memorial Hostel (secure Dementia facility). Both hostels offer central dining rooms, lounge areas and activities rooms. All meals are provided and rooms are serviced, with staff in attendance 24 hours a day.
Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and ornaments to furnish their rooms, helping them settle more easily into their new home.
Rooms are fully serviced and staff assistance is available to residents for showering and dressing and to help manage medical and personal care for those who require assistance.Click here to view further information about Strathdon Nursing Homes and Hostels.
Other Strathdon community care facilities
These facilities are located in Forest Hill, with the exception of Yernga which is situated in Mount Waverley.
