Uniting Aged Care - Aldersgate Village is a spacious and modern residential facility offering 66 places consisting of 46 low or high level care places and 20 dementia specific places. 

The Woodlands consists of four houses of up to 12 residents.  It has an 'ageing in place' policy allowing low care residents to remain within the facility as their dependency increases to high level care.  Each house has its own spacious lounge area, dining area and attractive courtyard.  Residents have single rooms with built-in wardrobes and generous ensuites. 

For those living with dementia, Lindfield offers two houses. The dementia specific area is secure and protected.  It is a non-restrictive environment which allows residents to access outdoor areas to sit and relax.

Aldersgate Village has a large lounge called Sunnybrae consisting of a café and facilities for social and leisure activities for residents, their families and friends.  Sunnybrae may be booked by members of the Aldersgate community to host private functions.

Aldersgate Village is surrounded by beautiful gardens with porch areas for residents and visitors to relax and enjoy the views.  Set high in Newnham, it overlooks the surrounding area and the Tamar River.  Seating is available throughout the garden for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors and BBQ facilities are also available.

We have over 60 staff employed at Aldersgate Village.  Our Extended Care Assistants are experienced and undergo constant education and refresher training to maintain a high standard of care to our residents.  Our staff will encourage families to have input into resident care via case conferences facilitated by our Clinical Care Coordinator.

Experienced Registered Nurses and care staff and at Aldersgate Village provide excellence in quality and compassionate care 24-hours per day. 

Residents, family and friends are encouraged to be involved in a range of activities and outings.  Regular invitations are extended to families to attend morning or afternoon teas, BBQs and formal dinners. 

Family & friends are also encouraged to attend our regular ‘Resident Meetings’.  These meetings provide opportunity for residents and family to be involved with the development of services.

All meals are nutritious and freshly cooked on the premises at Aldersgate Village making it easy to cater for all individual needs and preferences.
