Uniting Aged Care - Strathaven is an 84-bed residence comprising: 72 residential places (both low and high level care), ten dementia specific places and two respite places.

Situated on the banks of the Derwent River, Strathaven is just nine kilometres from Hobart’s CBD and enjoys picturesque views of the well-known Moorilla winery, Derwent River and the surrounding mountains.  Major shopping centres and tourist attractions are located within a two kilometre radius.

The dementia specific area provides security and protection within a non-restrictive environment, allowing residents to access outdoor areas.

Residents, friends and family can sit and relax in the outdoor areas and enjoy the attractive surrounding gardens.

As part of our vision and values, Strathaven assists and supports residents to make ageing a meaningful part of life.  Residents are encouraged to make choices and decisions regarding their care and lifestyle.    

Families and friends of residents are encouraged to be involved in the overall care of residents through regular family case conferences and reviews facilitated by Strathaven’s Care Co-ordinators.

Experienced Registered Nurses and care staff at Strathaven provide excellence in quality and compassionate care 24 hours per day. 

All meals are nutritious and freshly cooked on the premises at Strathaven making it easy to cater for all individual needs and preferences.

Strathaven offers a combination of single rooms with ensuites and large built-in wardrobes, single rooms with shared facilities and a double room for a married couple.
