Kalkee has 27 independent living units consisting of seven units located in Spring Street and a further 20 units located in Francis Street, Belmont. The units are located within a 15 minute walk to the Belmont shopping centre and all have access to public transport (bus) to Belmont or Geelong.
The Spring Street units were originally built in 2000. The Francis Street units were built in 1971, with a remaining four units built in 2007.
All units are either one or two bedroom with built-in robes and an internal laundry is available within each unit. Private courtyards are available for residents to enjoy outdoor areas.
Building and garden maintenance is coordinated by Uniting Aged Care – Kalkee for a reasonable fee.
Care in the home services such as Community Aged Care Packages (CACPS) can be arranged to assist residents to maintain their independence.
