Sensory Garden
Kalkee Nangatta residents enjoy the sensory garden designed specifically for residents with dementia to stimulate their senses, memory and mood and to improve their health. 

The garden is a source of pleasure to residents providing a range of fragrances, different textures, colours, shapes and aromas.  Its continuous walkways meander and invite the visitor to slow down and look around.


Lifestyle Program
A comprehensive range of social and recreational activities and programs are offered to our residents. 

Our Lifestyle Team delivers activities that meet our resident’s physical, cognitive, and social needs.  These activities include: creative arts, current affairs, quizzes, exercise classes, reminiscence groups, social activities, as well as regular outings and weekly bus trips.

All residents are encouraged to participate in the lifestyle programs to promote optimal wellness and maintain socialisation skills.


Allied Health Services
Physiotherapy, podiatry and dietetic services and speech therapy are provided through the facility. We also have occupational therapy available by referral.


Palliative Care
24 hour nursing services and palliative care are available.

Our Palliative Care team consists of staff members who work with residents, their families, our pastoral care workers and the residents’ GP, offering appropriate management, support, comfort and guidance.


Volunteers
Our volunteers make a valuable contribution to the well-being of residents through their participation in the Lifestyle Programs offered at Kalkee Nangatta.   To register your interest in becoming a volunteer please click here.


Pastoral Care
Pastoral care services are available to residents and their families through listening, conversation, prayer and worship. Their support assists residents, families and staff through the major life transitions that are part of residential care.

Church services are provided on a weekly basis and are ecumenical.
