Strath-Haven Community Programs offers: day respite, community access programs, in-home respite and overnight respite.
Community Aged Care Packages
A Community Aged Care Package (CACP) supports frail older people living in the community who wish to remain living in their own home.
The package provides a planned and coordinated package of services to assist with complex needs. These people would also be eligible for low level residential care.
Eligibility is assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS).
Strath-Haven provides 39 CACPs packages for people living in the greater Bendigo area.
Respite Program
Uniting Aged Care Strath-Haven Respite for Employed Carers Program provides a comprehensive range of respite services to support the individual needs of working carers.

The program is designed to assist employed carers to continue their caring role. Services available through this program include:
Strath-Haven Day Respite program is available between the hours of 10:00 am – 4:00 pm weekdays.
An extension to these times may be negotiable. The Day Respite program offers a range of activities and community access programs.

Structured group activities pending individual needs at:
- Strath-Haven Aged Care Facility
- Seven Hills respite house
- Community outings
- One to one actvities can be arranged, especially to facilitate integration into small groups
Overnight Respite
Seven Hills, our four bedroom community respite house provides respite for small numbers of people for short periods of time.
Seven Hills Respite Cottage is located at 25 Dundas Street, White Hills and offers overnight respite for four nights per fortnight, with four to six participants.Â
In Home Respite
Respite can be provided by a care worker in the home, allowing the carer to take a break. Carers can use a combination of these services to meet their respite needs.
Qualified staff provide 24-hour care and participants are engaged in a range of activities. Enquiries about our range of services designed to support carers are welcome.
