Uniting Aged Care provides care, support and socialisation opportunities for older people, people living with a disability and people living with dementia and their carers.

Our Social Support programs are jointly funded by the Australian and Victorian government (Department of Health and Ageing) and Tasmanian government (Department of Health and Human Services), Home and Community Care (HACC) program.

Programs offered include:

Social Groups & Leisure Activities
Aimed at building social networks and bringing people together with common interests.

Community Outings
Programs based on small group outings to a variety of venues including restaurants, exhibitions, movies and more.

"Outings help people to understand and adapt to the Australian way of life, and help to overcome feelings of isolation.  Outings make them happy and healthier."
(Son Xuan Nguyen - Vietnamese & Chinese Aged Care Services Pty Ltd)

Dementia Support
Centre-based care with small group social interaction and appropriate social and leisure activities.

Respite & Support For Carers
All programs take into consideration the needs of carers including bringing carers together.

Health Promotion and Exercise Groups
Programs incorporating strength training, gentle exercise and healthy eating.

Men’s Group
Social groups specifically coordinated to bring men together and to participate in activities of interest to men.

Professional and dedicated staff at Uniting Aged Care include a range of allied health professionals and personal carers who can provide you with information about programs available at one of our Centres and can help to identify the type of group activities of most interest to you.

Outings and group activities are coordinated according to the interests and needs of our clients. They may be either centre-based or community-based.

All outings or bus trips are planned with consideration to access and cost.
